Al Poindexter and River Rise

Al Poindexter plays at folk festivals and coffee houses in North Florida. He appears at the Florida Folk Festival in White Springs, and at festivals in Barberville and Jacksonville. He plays weekly at the Three Layers Coffee House in Springfield and other venues around Jacksonville

Al plays old time bottleneck blues on a national steel resonator guitar and folk music and clawhammer banjo. He is past president of the Florida Banjo Society.

He performs mostly roots music of Florida, but also some songs that he writes
